On our side, we run 6.0a on different types of servers, from OSX (10.3) to Solaris 10u5 (SPARC), from Fedora Core 9 to Windows2003, and in all cases, it is rock solid, and it has always been, with low or high load, with or without "phone home system". We are just doing things carefully and refrain to update anything on these boxes without double checking first. Also, bad code can easily drown a server, but we also saw the same on large MySQL servers. Anyway, we are working hard to update WebDNA and bring a polished new "Phoenix" version. chris On Dec 18, 2008, at 13:51, Kenneth Grome wrote: >> As chris said, there has been no problems with the >> landing server since it was installed. > > That's not the issue. > > If WebDNA doesn't crash when that "landed server" of yours > is offline or unavailable, the only reason you have to keep > it online is to spy on your customers. > > Are you capable of trusting your customers enough to > demonstrate that you're willing to stop spying on them? > > Sincerely, > Ken Grome > --------------------------------------------------------- > This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > archives: http://mail.webdna.us/list/talk@webdna.us > old archives: http://dev.webdna.us/TalkListArchive/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
