There may be an easy solution for this, but I am a bit stumped on a solution that doesn't have the potential to task the CPU. I need to make sure there is an ending carriage return in a webdna database (table), on the fly. Since I'm on a linux machine, I do have access to the shell. I was thinking If I could use a shell command line to grab the last line of the database, I could zap that into a text variable and check for the carriage return in that variable. Or maybe easier, maybe there is a shell line that would just grab the last character in a file? (I could do the checks from there) Thanks for the thoughts! Donovan -- Donovan D.
