texte = Please also note that MySQL database are several times as large as WebDNA databases. If we take Matthew's experience: "Each of the 100 websites has 120+ databases. Each website had 3 databases dedicated to user tracking (a record of every product and page viewed), that's 300 tracking databases. Of the 300 tracking databases, about 10 of them had reached 300MB+ in size, that's 3GB." Compared to one of our MySQL5 dedicated server, 300 databases and 4000 tables for 300 "standard websites" (so, 4 times smaller than Matthew's customers databases), we need more than 30GB of disk space and 8GB RAM to handle it (just MySQL + linux), and it runs slower... as a matter of fact, a [lookup] is 50 times slower with MySQL than it is with WebDNA (CICADA). - chris Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
