It's a different meaning of max. In a search =parameter, it means how many out of the total found items will display. =It's useful for either taking just one (like the latest item), or for =creating pages and pages of found results, using the [shownext] context =to generate page links to the next/previous sets. In that case, it's set =for how many you want to show on each page. Then the startat parameter =comes into play.Max in the =prefs is for the total max found... I have mine set in the tens of =thousands or something.
