I would install Centos5, its the standard around the groups I work with. = Its very mature. I have used Suse also but it doesn't fit me well, I = dunno kinda like how you just don't like the feel of a car or anything = else for that matter. I've tried a few others but I just like the way = centos lays it all out, much more logical. Not as refined as the MAC, = but if you wanna go light weight Centos can be stripped down to a 32mb = kernal and run so its very versatile.=20 I would personally run it as a virtual machine and download an appliance = that is built to do what you want. Its cheap and easy to play with = various distributions. You can try this or try that. And see what you = like. Some are free some are pay for, or shareware. The gui's are quite = mature.=20 Here is one if you want more i can pass them onto you. Heck you might be = able to run them under parallels on the mac, I don't know if they have a = vmware converter. I run vmware on a standard dell server and then apply = the vmware images and test out the function. Sweetly you can also get = windows distro's and play with those. Need a license for long term use = though.
