It has a big screen, greatfeatures and programs, but there is only 1 problem that I have found so farwhich was working quite well.Last year, I bought the Samsung Instinct from Sprint and was introduced to anew feature called visual voicemail. I never had a problem with it and itworked great. When I recently bought my EVO, it too had the visualvoicemail feature and it was working perfectly until maybe 2 weeks ago whenit was apparently updated. After it got updated, it will no longer download the messages to my phoneand instead sends me numerous alerts to check my messages by dialing anumber. I tried to fix the problem by doing a factory reset and restoringall of my files from a backup. Even with a fresh start, the visualvoicemail will not work.Thinking that maybe if I knew who made the software I could go to theirwebsite and see if there was some sort of fix, I looked at the about partof the software and suddenly everything made perfect sense now and thesituation could be considered hopeless. The company that supposedly madethe software was Smith Micro Software or SMSI which means that they musthave bought that company sometime between when it worked last year and whenit broke this year. Sure enough, the "merger" occurred in September 2009which would give them plenty of time to screw the software up.That being said, I have removed the software from my phone and downloadedanother software called YouMail that does the same exact thing, but itworks!!Typical SMSI modus operandi states that nothing good can come out of keepingthat software on my phone.Sal D'Anna.--0016361e7bb2f3243e048bf88bb1Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printableWell, I recently bought the new HTC EVO 4G from Sprint and have found it to= be the best smart phone I have ever seen.=A0 It has a big screen, great fe=atures and programs, but there is only 1 problem that I have found so far w=hich was working quite well.
