It has a big screen, great features and programs, but there is only 1 problem that I have found so far which was working quite well. Last year, I bought the Samsung Instinct from Sprint and was introduced to a new feature called visual voicemail. I never had a problem with it and it worked great. When I recently bought my EVO, it too had the visual voicemail feature and it was working perfectly until maybe 2 weeks ago when it was apparently updated. After it got updated, it will no longer download the messages to my phone and instead sends me numerous alerts to check my messages by dialing a number. I tried to fix the problem by doing a factory reset and restoring all of my files from a backup. Even with a fresh start, the visual voicemail will not work. Thinking that maybe if I knew who made the software I could go to their website and see if there was some sort of fix, I looked at the about part of the software and suddenly everything made perfect sense now and the situation could be considered hopeless. The company that supposedly made the software was Smith Micro Software or SMSI which means that they must have bought that company sometime between when it worked last year and when it broke this year. Sure enough, the "merger" occurred in September 2009 which would give them plenty of time to screw the software up. That being said, I have removed the software from my phone and downloaded another software called YouMail that does the same exact thing, but it works!! Typical SMSI modus operandi states that nothing good can come out of keeping that software on my phone.
