texte = Amazon offer EBS (Elastic Block Storage) which is the equivalent of an attached hard drive which doesn't lose data saved to it should the server crash or even be shut down. Obviously as Chris says if your data is only in RAM and the server crashes you'll lose it if whatever you are running.
