It always happens to me when I accidentally write a bad block of code, like recursive loops, or when I'm trying to call too many include files from within a file. I believe I've had the same experience since version 4.5.1. I always have Template Cashing turned off. When I get into rapid development sometimes my templates don't refresh fast enough even though my server is set to check for modifications every 2 seconds. Here's how I see this situation occurring for me: I accidentally create a recursive loop in a block of code that is never able to complete. Somehow that infinite processing loop keeps going inside the server's cache. I've uploaded new versions of the .tpl file, and even deleted and reuploaded a new .tpl, but because the recursive version is still running (so I assume) WebDNA never has a chance to run the new version. The only solution I know is to reboot the hardware. If I'm unable to reboot at that time I simply rename the file to template2.tpl and keep working. On the other hand, I've accidentally written recursive loops that have brought the hardware to a grinding hault too. --Matt On 1/27/2012 5:23 PM, Kenneth Grome wrote: > And it is entirely possible that having template cache > turned on in admin might completely eliminate this problem. > > Sincerely, > Kenneth Grome > > > >> Right, I set up a very basic example using your structure >> and had no problem call thing the functions (OS >> X/WebDNA 6x).. but like you say, I don't have your >> permission settings, WebDNA settings, the exact code, >> etc.. too many variables to test for. > --------------------------------------------------------- > This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list. > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > archives: http://mail.webdna.us/list/talk@webdna.us > Bug Reporting: support@webdna.us > > > > -- > Matthew A Perosi > Corporate Consultant > Mobile Marketing Expert > Senior Web Developer > SEO Analyst& Educator > > Psi Prime, Inc. > 323 Union Blvd. > Totowa, NJ 07512 > > Service: 973.413.8211 > Training: 973.413.8214 > Fax: 973.413.8217 > > http://www.perosi.com Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
