I was just trying that as you were writing your post.. but it is the = oddest thing.. that even this (*instead of* the grep) is swapping out = all space characters as well as plus characters: [table name=3DplusCharConverter&fields=3Dfrom,to][/table] [Append = table=3DplusCharConverter]from=3D+&to=3D~hackinPlusChar~[/Append] [ConvertChars table=3DplusCharConverter] [testString] [/ConvertChars] Can you show me code that is working for you to swap out ONLY literal = "+" chars?
