Moving to Linux is a bit of= a fiddle. Linux is case sensitive so you will need to ensure that all your =file names match. URLs are handled by Apache or the like but the actual file=names being handled by WebDNA are critical.
After f=irst getting used to to few of the differences WebDNA has a couple of platfo=rm differences that are easily overcome.
The bigges=t problem I had was the fact that this [LISTMIMEHEADERS name=3dHTTP-HOST][VA=LUE][/LISTMIMEHEADERS] changes from windows to [LISTMIMEHEADERS name=3dHOST]=[VALUE][/LISTMIMEHEADERS] on Linux, and of course if you are using [DOS][/DO=S] that will need to change to [SHELL][/SHELL], all in all not very hard.
After 15+ years on windows I have moved to Ubuntu and= am pretty happy with the change, there are a lot of things that I am doing =now that I wouldn't attempt on Windows. Consider using Webmin to administer =your server while you get used to the command line.
Moving away from hosting providers to VPC has also been a good move.

With Donovan's hint of new releases of WebDNA, keep an ey=e out for releases of a Windows version ......... keep looking .......... th=en move to Linux.
v7 vs v6.x - If you are using the= globals and sandbox features on your Windows setup stick with the v6.x linu=x version
The 6.x linux installer for Ubuntu is fla=wless, it certainly made my move to Linux easy.
Get= a 1 GB Linode service
h=ttp://www.linode.com and have a play around for a while, it will on=ly cost you about $20 for a month before making a decision.

I've had 6.2 running on Server 20=08 without a burp for 2+ years.
Keep meaning to jump onto the v7 pile= with Ubunto, but never seem to get around to setting one up.
Slightly off topic,
What is the= "easiest" Linux version to setup on?
Ubunto?
Centos?
something else?
I know there have b=een threads about "steps" to a successful install, but it always seems like =issues pop up following them.

Thanks
