See the second snip where it talks about BOTH records on the screen at once. I never expected this problem and the person doing the work never bother to ask, Hey there are 2 records on the delete search function and I want to delete them before Gary finds out I screwed up. Record 1 sku=10-30 name=Jones addr=12345 Main st anywhere usa Record 2 sku=10-30 name=Jones addr=12345 Main st anywhere usaperson put in I want to delete Jonesin the following snip

Find a Rep: Enter Data Base Record Number You Want to Delete

they got a search that they use to verify this is who they want to delete and BOTH records appearedFound [numFound] items matching your search <--The numfound was 2>[foundItems]

Cl ick here if this is the Record you want to Delete
then they entered clicked on the hyperlink and got[delete db=/webcatalog/rep.db&eqskudata=[sku]]and she hung-up.Now the sku in this example was a 4 digit number we created, but they created two identical records with the same sku value and the sku value has nothing to do with [carts], it was put in by them. So I had 2 records named 01-30. But if I would have created this data base like I created most since then using the [cart] value to control the record the problem is mute. In my opinion it is not a problem of webcat. I is a problem here of some sloppy coding in the learning curve. I just want to avoid it happening again. That is why I wanted to rework the database tomarrow and force in somevalue into a field name uniqueID and just number the records 1 to 225 and then let [cart] take over. Or have I confused everybody more?=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
