(it's getting very late here on the East coast, so apologies in advance if I've missed something :-0 )But....what I need the formula to do is add all the weights, *then* look up the corresponding cost! I think what I need is a new variable, something like SumWeights, then use your formula to lookup the cost for NextDay or Ground by SumWeights. I'll give it a shot tomorrow...1'st time to assign a variable (I think I can do that, right?)Thanks,Daledstokdyk@dvs.mv.comGrant Hulbert wrote:>> >To address weight and shipMethod....should I set up a ShipCosts.db> >similar to below, then use Search with And to look up the correct> >price...something like:>> I think a simpler database would be>> Weight Ground NextDay> 1 3.00 7.00> 2 4.00 7.00>> That way you can do a simple lookup for the cost:>> [lookup db=shipcosts.db&lookInField=weight&value=[weight]&returnField=[shipVia]]>> The only 'trick' here that some people may not think of is that you can use a variable [shipVia] as the name of which field to return from the lookup.
