Credit card processing options. . .

When we officially put it on the web, I'll post the URL here first. My question is this: I want to know all the different methods of credit card processing you all are using on your different merchant sites. MacAuthorize is great, but it is slow and requires a phone line. First Virtual is alright, but their charges are a little high, and their Buyer accounts are not free, which is not attractive to my customers. CyberCash does not make their merchant software for the MacOS nor do they (as I was rudely informed by their customer service reps) ever intend to produce a Mac version--yet another company throwing away money by not supporting the Mac market. Does anyone use a service like Realtime Commerce Solutions? How would their service integrate with WebMerchant?Do I need to approve cards on the fly since I'm using webdelivery and my products are quite inexpensive? Could I just collect them and do a batch once a day using MacAuthorize? I'm thinking of requiring that my customers create an account for themselves on our site before they can download. If their cards are ever declined I could just revoke priveleges until things are settled. This should work since there is very little risk on our side. I'm trying to cut down on overhead in the startup period of this business. When things start cranking, I can change over to a more sophisticated system. Please excuse my ramblings. My purpose in the last two paragraphs was to elicit people's opinions on the above services, pluses and minuses of each, warnings, suggestions, etc. I'm new to this, so any and all advice is welcome. Thanks again, Michael Bohan Music on Demand, LLC Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
