texte = In general you shouldn't have to worry about encoding unless you are hard coding your own input fields or building up your own strings. It, unfortunately, can be a really confusing issue. There is a pretty good explanation of when to encode and when not to in the user manual (I hope it is good). A real ROUGH rule of thumb is to always make sure the names and values of any parameters are encoded before they are sent to WebCatalog. This can be done automatically by the browser if people type into input fields, or it can be done in a WebDNA template using the [url] context.
