In fact, this is the recommended way of doing things when you're running a secure and a non-secure server on the same Mac.However, if you're running two separate Macs in order to use port 80 for your secure server, which is what you seem to be doing, then I would get one copy of Typhoon for every database on your non-secure server ... or buy another copy of WebCatalog for that non-secure server.Actually, if I were you I would probably take the approach of saving money instead, by putting everything on a single server and runnning all my secure and non-secure databases from the WebCatalog.acgi on that server. This would give you a free Mac to use for something other than web serving, and if you really want to speed up the performance of your site, you can use it to serve all the image files your non-secure web servers (which is normally used to serve the majority of pages on a web site anyways ... although I don't think that's the way you are doing it).Just get PostHaste and run it as an image server on the free Mac, and you will see a definite speed increase on your non-secure site... because when WebSTAR no longer has to serve your images, it is much faster. >Boy, it looks like I'm going to hog the List today. > >I am in a quandary.
