In total, our 10 or so databases are about 3.5 megs, so it seems WC should have plenty of RAM. The speed problem is real with 2.1b3 in our configuration, and is not a problem with 2.01. The problem may not be readily apparent unless the server is getting hit. One or two users don't seem to cause the problem. But if you get up to 10-15 simultaneous connections, the Gateway timeout errors start to happen. If you watch the W* status window, W* seems to serve files very haltingly. It'll serve a bunch, then pause for a few seconds or longer, then serve some more, etc.> > I've never seen the signal raised error dialog ... but if that > dialog were a modal dialog box, Okey Dokey should take care of it. > But Okey Dokey can only dismiss modal dialog boxes, and some programs > create non-modal dialog boxes ... which means Okey Dokey is no good > with them. Apparently WebCat does not create modal dialogs ...It would be great if WebCat would do something other than display this dialog so it does not bring us down. Apparently Grant has fixed this with 2.1b3 but for us, anyway, using the CGI, 2.1b3 is not useable. But other users seem to not be having this problem so who know.Regards, Karl Schroll www.digitalfrontier.com Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
