On a form method POST submission, if it doesn't submit all the post data, and just asks for the URL, then these message will certainly appear. That is, just GETing the URL http://www.com/invoice.tmpl$showcart will give an error cart not found. However, if this is the POSTing data and the db is part of the post it is just fine. Netscape probably ALWAYs does a GET to view source. This is just a theory that some simple testing with WebSTAR (or whatever server you are using) is set to a verbose mode so you can see the actual request from the browser.John.>John, I tried the dummy variable as the first parameter, but now I'm getting >the same error messages when viewing SOURCE that I first wrote to this list >about over a month ago: > > Error: the 'add' command requires that you >specify a cart > > Error: the 'showcart' command requires that you >specify a cart > > Error: the 'purchase' command requires that you >specify a cart > >I'm using NN 4.04 on my Mac, and have left the changes on my site today (Sat., >the 13'th), so you can check this out for yourself at: > >http://www.me2u.com > >As I noted originally, POST seems to work, except that I see these error >messages when viewing using View:Page Source.
