The database in question will have several records that have the same fields. to run a search/replace will cause the database to end up with clumps of 2 and 3 records having the same unique indentifier. What i need to to be able to take a database, and by preforming some search/replace combination addinging the index value to the record in a line by line manner. (in some cases it is possible the record might be blank, thus causing searches to not pick it up properly)? Brian B.
