texte = Let's not blow this thing out of proportion. Just because someone has a slowdown under a particular circumstance does *not* mean the rest of the product is slow by any means. It is possible to construct situations that cause poor performance under *any* software package. We have added Brian's request for better large-scale file handling under MacOS to the list of requested enhancements for the next update. Now we can move on to workarounds.As many of our customers who have switched to WebCatalog can attest, it's the fastest and most flexible thing out there -- especially for sites that have huge numbers of simultaneous customers. We have sites that are processing 60-70 hits/second on complex WebDNA pages with MacOS, and sites that complete 200 or more credit card sales/day on MacOS with no problems. We have customers who switched from PC+SQL solutions to WebCatalog purely because of the increased speed and flexibility. And it's just going to get faster as we continue to release versions with newer, better algorithms.Grant Hulbert, V.P.
