texte = Is there a way to generate a SKU dynamically? Here is the issue. I have a database I set up for a local township. People in the town will submit records to the database announcing activities etc. (kind of a bulletin board). The township administrators want to be able to approve the postings before they go live. So I set up a hidden field that gets submitted with each new posting called APPROVED which by default is set to False. When you search the postings as a user you only get to see the records that are APPROVED as True.If you go in as the Admin. you only see the records that have APPROVED set to False. On the Admin. page I have a link which I want to change the status of the record to APPROVED = True. I have the link set up the way I thought it would work but it changes the status of ALL the records.I looked at the samples in the general store and they seem to be using the SKU in the link to specify the record to change. I am not using a SKU, but the records do have a title field and I tried to use it in the same manner without any luck. Is there a way to generate a unique SKU without the person posting having to add it in with their new posting? Can someone give me a little advice on this??Thanks,-- -= Charles Kline =- _____________________________________ Pixel Dust Productions -- MacSultants ckline@webtown.com ckline@macsultants.com http://www.webtown.com http://www.macsultants.com Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
