It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 20373
interpreted = N
texte = Jim,I might be wrong since I had a customer who had this problem a while ago, and I don't recall the details anymore. However, if I'm not mistaken I believe this happened only to cells with numbers in them and he cleared the problem by formatting the column as a General number rather than Currency. Like I said though this was a while ago and the details are fuzzy. If anybody has more information on this topic I would like to hear about it since we are currently working on a project that uses several large databases that a customer has created in Excell and I would like to avoid any problems down the road since the customer plans on updating the databases himself.Thanks, JoseJim V wrote: > > Steve, > > One of my clients ran into this problem. Jim,I might be wrong since I had a customer who had this problem a while ago, and I don't recall the details anymore. However, if I'm not mistaken I believe this happened only to cells with numbers in them and he cleared the problem by formatting the column as a General number rather than Currency.
