After laying off WebCatdevelopment for some time, I recently had a rushjob to implement a WebCat feature to display and sell our new series ofposters. I was worried about how fast I could get back up to speed, butit turned out to be easy to build a new site based on my prior work onMiss America Air Racing.http://www.airspacemag.com/ASM/Mkt/MSAT/entry.tmplAIR&SPACE/Smithsonian Magazine offers a mix-and-match selection of over50 unique posters of the most populated areas of the United States aswell as the whole United States, Europe and even the World as seenthrough the eyes of observation satellites. Thanks to some quick response from the support team at Pacific Coast, Igot the system up and running in short order. I was even able to managean ungainly three for a discount deal that the office wanted duplicatedfrom the magazine ad that looked like a show stopper until I realized itcould be done simply in WebCat by coming at it from the oppositedirection.This poster sales feature has already turned more profit than all theother A&S web marketed merchandise combined and I am convinced that it'sdue to the shopping carts ability to allow users to take advantage ofthe 3 for a price offer.
