texte = We found that WebTV uses dynamic IP addresses that seem to change at some point during using web catalog. Some of our clients carts use IP address for the [cart] variable as instructed by Pacific tech support because we have add buttons on a different server than the web catalog server, and thus use an addlineitem command and pass in ip address. So as you can see, this is a problem - items get added to one ip address, and when they check out, the address changes, and they no longer have any items because the look like a different user!!Any ideas of what to do?I thought maybe one possibility is to set a cookie if there is a way to detect that they are web tv, and the cookie (just for web tv browsers) would be their original IP address. Then we should be able to keep retrieving that cookie and set the [cart] variable to what we retrieve instead of ip address. (I hope webtv supports cookies!! anyone know??) ??
