I have my tapes in hand and plan to watch a good lot of them over the 4 day holiday. I have only watched about 1/3 of the 1st tape of the advanced series. But what it talked about in the intro to the advanced series has me drooling. Tons and tons of very advanced commerce stuff. Reference to enterprise solutions in talking to other platform databases. Remote updating schemes, with out moving a large data base, just moving the update section. A bunch on Intranet stuff, mailing lists archiving, Sales lead follow up, personal and company wide calendars. And if they include the code snipnets at a later date the value just went threw the roof. Actually seeing with my own eyes as Jay types and trying to explain to you on the tape in concept via the docs or via email to this list on the front end appears to be worth the price of addmission. I will report more next week after I get deeper into them. However keep in mind that I do no traditional web commerce stuff yet! But what I do is look at the commerce stuff and then apply that concept to some rather strange things we do inside the PanaVise Intranet or other sites I consult on. On the 16th of next month I will be meeting face to face with my largest customer to lay the plans out for them to use our webcatalog front ended website for advanced data exchange to other systems inside of PanaVise running on non-mac platforms. What I have seen so far in the tapes, I think will make the learning/development curve inside our company extremely shorter and much less costly to develop.=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
