texte = I've been using GoLive for all my WebCat development lately. I love it-it has a clean, intuitive interface that makes building complex pages a breeze. It does have its quirks, particularly when forms are involved that include webdna. It tends to edit out all the webdna and lift the closing form tag and stick it at the end of the document. My development usually goes like this:1) Make cool page with GoLive including forms 2) Open in Simpletext and add webdna. Save in SimpletextWhich works fine. But, if I ever have to go back to the page with GoLive, it'll usually mess up the webdna. This only seems to happen with popup menus though. So, I keep a backup of what the webdna looked like before I open it in GoLive, then make my changes in GoLive, then open up the finished product in Simpletext, and cut and paste the webdna from my previously working backup file.GoLive uses grids within tables for page layout. I have noticed a tendency for it to place the input box for a form in one table, and the submit button in another (which results in the opening
tag being in one table and the closing
tag being in another, and html no-no). IE does not seem to complain about this, but Netscape munges the pages if they're coded this way. Of course, it's possible that I'm just not using it right, [tweak] never having read the manual...[/tweak] ;)As long as you have a strong knowledge of html, and know how to fix html code that it has saved wrong, you'll be OK. Haven't used Dreamweaver. -will---------- >From: Brian T.
