I think it gets tangled up sometimes with some of these automatic robots that people use to go over your site and download to local viewing automatically. One that comes to mind is webdownloader. Another tool used by the windows crowd is NetMedic. What happens is they throw off tons of ICMP packets and you think you are under a ping of death attack.Another one to look at is at http://www.compatible.com/I am told this one is very good also and more user rules configurable then the sonicwall. The sonic wall is almost plug and play. Very very simple to set up. Only tricky part was figuring out which ports to open up for TB2. I am close, but when I transfer a file by TB2 from inside the firewall to outside the firewall instead of using ftp in hangs TB2. I can go in bound OK.I will say this, those webstar servers all of a sudden started crashing all over the place. The would throw up a type 2 error. Put the sonic wall in place and no more crashes, no more type 2 errors. And I have tons of ram free to webstar. Never got to a low mem condition per the webstar sliders. Something like 15 megs is the low water mark. Way overkill mem wise.=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
