In that they can have mulit cheap over slow servers (6100 flavors) slaved together and a fast server out front that decides which slave server to send requests to. One goes down it removes it and redirects it elsewhere if you have multi slaves. The part I played with and the conversations I had on their talk list with Chuck and Louis, it did not do what I wanted. The part I was playing with and the concept they explained for these slaves is think of it as firesite in reverse. Fast to slow where as with firesite you want to go from slow to fast. Load distribution is the part I looked into, which we all know is where webcat shines, cause it doesn't need it. I would have to hate to own all the software on multi slaves and make sure they were all updated correctly if using FmPro. My 2 cents. It might have other features I did not explore that you might find very very handy. Just what I looked at did not fit with anything I needed right now.=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
