Please note that I talk about fine-tuning and (second) want tocollect some knowledge about overall-performance on a machine which servesa fast increasing number of WebCat-driven sites. Let me ask in a differentway:If a .tpl page does not require WebDNA, then removing the HAS_DNA.. linegives less work for WebCat, must be faster.Suffix mapping to WebCat is still active - but has this any impact onperformance in the combination WebTen/WebCat? Theoretically it must have, but is this true in real life?During development we cannot tell which pages finally require WebDNA. So weusually give all the appropriate suffix and the HAS_WEBDNA_TAGS-line bydefault. Once finished, I think it is a good idea to do some cleanup toavoid useless overload of WebCat.We plan to add a second Mac server soon, so I would be happy to getsuggestions or ideas how to organize the WebTen/WebCat-playground properly.>Also, do some timing tests before you assume that there's something wrong>with our caching mechanism.I've never assumed that.Peter++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Peter Ostry - Vienna/Austria - www.ostry.comFon ++43-1-877 74 54 Fax ++43-1-877 74 54-21++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
