Multiple searches on a single page / random record from full database?

texte = Hi,I am re-creating a links database and want to have various categories for the type of links.I have seen a site where you go to their links page and you get a summary (description) of each category and how many links are in each one.My thought at this time is to create this page (for now I hard code the table based on the number of categories I have, later make it dynamic based on the categories in the database). and then do a multiple searches to get a total for each category. eg table data 1 ( search category 1 ) table data 2 ( search category 2 ) table data 3 ( search category 3 ) table data 4 ( search category 4 )and so on...Does this make sense to do it this way? Or is there a better way to do this. Also on this page I will give the user the ability to simply list all the links in a particular category as well as search by 1 category or search in all for particular info.I would also like to present the user with a random link from across all the categories, what would be the baest way to do this random link when prior to hitting this page I don't know how many links there are in the databaseThank you!p..s the manual has been printed and is starting to get dog-eared already Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
