texte = Check /etc/passwd and see what UID corresponds to the nobody user. I have beenbugging PCS/SM to actually use the correct existing UID for the user nobodyinstead of hard-coding UID 99. Let me guess that you are not running RedHat6.x; many installations (Caldera for one) use some other number for the nobodyuser ( often 2**16 - 2 ).It is more correct for them to check to see what UID the nobody user has on therunning system and then spawn the daemons with that UID, not a hard-coded valuelike 99, which is only true in some Linux installations. To change all user permissions, do the following from the directory _above_where WebCat is installed: chown -R nobody:nobody WebCatPath/This will change all files in that hierarchy to be owned by the nobody user, which is the correct behavior. The directory which contains the Webcatalogexecutable must have the correct owner, or you will not be able to change anysystem databases, like Preferences or Users.HTHJohn Peacock____________________Reply Separator____________________Subject: WebCat is different user Author:
