texte = Typhoon Pro v3.04 plugin / MacOS / WS 4.0Hello,I recently had to change how I update a database on one of my sites. What Iwould like to do is upload a text (database?) file containing a record_idand the contents of the field that must be updated.e.g. record_id, picname3848483948939483, fld1_3848483948939483.jpg I would like to create a template that reads this file, does a search on thefirst field, then uses the value in the second field to replace the contentsof the same named field in the main database (also writing out to a db ortext file the record ID the contents of the field if it was not blank).I think I am trying to make this harder than it is.My thoughts are doing a count of the records in the to be 'changed' databaseI upload, the do a loop to cycle through the records, do a search for therecord ID, write out (append) to a report file if the record doesn't exist(unlikely but possible), append a record if the record being updatedcontains information in the targeted field, then make the change, do areplace and do the next record.Does the above make sense? I can't post code yet as I haven't written any -maybe tonight :)Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best RegardsDale TherioDresdner Kleinwort Benson ResearchJürgen-Ponto-Platz, 1Frankfurt, Germany+49 (0) 69 263 19977 - phone+49 (0) 69 263 11379 - fax-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to .This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to
