texte = yes Glenn, I am doing exactly that. I store the amount in stock in the products database and deduct the amount purchased when someone buys. If the inventory falls below 1 then I allow the user to make an order for it but their credit card does not get charged until the item comes in and it is clearly marked as being backordered.Webcat is very flexible and powerful and can do everything I have needed to do so far after creating several eCommerce sites. I think you might want to wade in a bit before talking over details of exactly how to do what you want.
