texte = I dont get it, what difference does who hosts the list make? The regular 'experts' on this list (and i thank god for themevery day) are the best support mech SM has currently for webcat and TP etc as far as i can tell.if these non-paid experts provide help instead of SM for thevast majority of webcat users, SM gets one hell of a benefit.basically SM gets a free support department.so what difference does it make if the experts provide thatsupport here or on another list? SM still gets the benefitof not having to support the product themselves.this leads to an ugly option: have the non-paid expertsstop providing help on any list and let SM be responsiablefor it all.i am not saying its a good idea, but where they give the supportseems to make little difference if you ask me, still the sameoutcome for SM.blakeTherio, Dale wrote the following, 1/25/00 11:32 AM:>I would be willing to host it on my CGatePro server.>>Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best Regards>>Dale Therio>>Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Research>Jürgen-Ponto-Platz, 1>Frankfurt, Germany>+49 (0) 69 263 19977 - phone>+49 (0) 69 263 11379 - fax>>>> -----Original Message----->> From: The Mooseman [SMTP:frederickslists@mooseweb.com]>> Sent: Tuesday, January 25, 2000 17:25>> To: WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com>> Subject: Re: Meet your competition>> >> What about doing our own talk-help list and divorce it from SM>> if they are going to work both sides of the street?-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
