It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 26789
interpreted = N
texte = Actually I hadn't considered the performance impact of sorting by date vs. sorting by days. Perhapss there is a performance hit. I'd love to know what you learn.There is one Y2.1K implication of using days vs. dates. The current date is something like 73000. And you might be tempted to not type this as a numeric field in your sorts and consider it a text field. But in 25,000 days -- or 68 years from now -- the days will change to a number greater then 99999 and you'll be in trouble. As to finding records within the last x days:Using dates stored in the [date] method, I found it easy to do this: Only show Cruisers who joined in the last 7 days BUT.... Trying to find records within a date range is difficult with the [date] format because you have to group the fields and specify them as [date] format. While I'm sure it's possible, I was not able to get that to work. For this site, I stored the date as days....Tradeoffs either way.___Joe___------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
