My thought (I haven't tried this yet) is to point the reply-to address to an account in SIMS. Configure SIMS to save messages as indivudual files. The folder the files are saved into will be where WebCat can access it with an alias to where SIMS wants the folder to be.Then, using listfiles (to loop through the messages), process each file individually and search for the email address in the message. Initially I would simply have WebCat send me a report (just to make sure). Then webcat could be used to search through the database for the email address found in the returned email. I would create a different return address for each database you will be sending emails from as you can never be sure what information the rejecting host will send back.I won't have time to try this soon, but I think it should work.Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best RegardsDale TherioDresdner Kleinwort Benson Research Jürgen-Ponto-Platz, 1 Frankfurt, Germany +49 (0) 69 263 19977 - phone +49 (0) 69 263 11379 - fax > -----Original Message----- > From: Will Starck [SMTP:daprez@tigernet.net] > Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2000 14:30 > To: WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com > Subject: Re: Harvesting invalid email addresses from bounced > emails??? > > > > > > It makes sense, but you must have a lot of bounced messages > > Well, just enough to make it a nuisance to do it manually ;) > > I'm also looking toward the future... > > I know I could do this with Applescript for sure, but I was hoping there > was > a WebCat solution...;) > > Will > > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging > Server. > To end your Mail problems go to . > > This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > ------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
