Prior to accepting the trans from the visitor, we validate it with the WebCat context. Then the site operator hits a web page where all the waiting trans are listed. Next to each trans is a button labeled PROCESS. Behind the process button is an https form submission to the clients CC processor with all the appropriate information listed in hidden fields. The listing of information in hidden fields is safe, since these pages are [protect] protected and served to the client via https. The CC processing company, replies with an authorization code which the client writes on a printed copy of the waiting transactions. Then the client presses an APPROVED (or declined) button and the trans is updated in the webcat db to approved or declined.Someday, if WebCatalog can handle outgoing https (SSL encrypted) [TCPconnect] and [TCPsend] contexts... we can have this happen automatically. If you want more information, let me know.Joseph D'Andrea. At 6:59 PM 6/6/00, John Benn wrote: >What are options for post-processing of credit cards? On one of our clients sites, we dump all CC trans in a db with a status of waiting and the client gets an e-mail for each trans simply telling them that a trans took place. Prior to accepting the trans from the visitor, we validate it with the WebCat context. Then the site operator hits a web page where all the waiting trans are listed.
