The new page is included. So the error page says something like:[SEARCH db=some.db&eqFIELDNAMEdatarq=A PARSED STRING] [HIDEIF [NUMFOUND]=0]] [INCLUDE file=somepage.html?A PARSED STRING] [/HIDEIF] [/SEARCH]This all worked great on WC3.However, on WebCat 4, this produces very bad results on *only one* of the sites. When using NetSplat, the error page only returns 9 hits (those 9 hits takes 15-25 seconds each to process) before returning nothing at all. It's like the threads aren't being closed. The included page is very complicated with a ton of code (mostly [SEARCH]es and [SHOWIF]s). Removing sections of code decreases the severity of the problem. The page will be returned more times and faster, but there's still an incremental slow down. Unfortunately, the complexity of the page makes it almost impossible for me to point to a sequence of tags and say, Aha, there it is.The workaround that I've come up with is to do a redirect to the right page, instead of including it. That works great and fast (each hit takes a fraction of a second). So, to sum up, I've gotten this far:- It only happens when the page is called as part of an include. - It only happens when the include is on the error.html page. - Hitting the page itself works fine (i.e. [REDIRECT special.html?STRING=hello] works, but [INCLUDE file=special.html&STRING=hello] doesn't). - It has nothing to do with nested includesI've spent many hours on this. Is there anything special about how WebCat treats the error.html page when a requested page is not found? Will provide a multitude of dbs and templates upon request.Michael############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
