Re: underscore in variable name

It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 34915
interpreted = N
texte = It has nothing to do with the underscores and everything to do with the variable name itself. Here, let me perform some magic: you were using a math variable! According to Grant, the way that the parser operates limits the length of math variables, but not text variables. Ken was the first to notice this; check the list archives. I believe the limit was 16 characters, but don't quote me on it.HTHJohn Peacockblo wrote: > > Sometimes, after the debugging process of my templates, if something is > still not working, I try this: > > rename variables from my_stupid_variable to mystupidvariable; > > stripping the underscores makes everything work fine; > > it has happend 2 times this week; > > am I the only one? > > (I've not yet detected the pattern of this strange situation) > > (W* 3.0.2/Wcat 4, macos 8.6)------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list . According to Grant, the way that the parser operates limits the length of math variables, but not text variables. Ken was the first to notice this; check the list archives.
