texte = The EasySoft solution is often mentioned on the dbi-users list (a Perl module for database independent access). It is not cheap, and there may be reliability issues (based on hearsay not direct knowledge on my part) that you need to take into account. You can probably ask questions of: Brendan Fagan who recommended it most recently on dbi-users. You can tell him I sent you (though he probably has no clue who I am ;~).My recommendation would be that unless you are stuck with M$SQL, I would go with MySQL (free) or Oracle (expensive but solid). Both of these have very good crossplatform support, unlike M$oft, which choses to support only Windows (oddly enough).
