It's probably wise to make sure that the db is closed at this time although I'm not sure it that's required..hdr file before might look like: skuproductname.....lastfieldafter you add the new fields: skuproductname.....artisttitlelastfieldThe next time that WebCat uses the db it will see the new field names and allow you to access them although they'll all be empty. If you inspect the db file on the disk the next time webcat writes it out, you will see the additional tabs tacked on to the end of each record. To populate the fields, you change whatever templates you already use to manipulate the fields of the db.Check out the databasehelper application that comes with WebCat. I've used it to create dbs from scratch and I think you can use it to manipulate an existing db... but I'd work on a back-up copy. There is also a thing called OmniBase that is a set of templates for changing db definition. You'll have to search the talk-list archives to find it.___Joe___ _________________________________________________ Joseph D'Andrea JoeDan@West21.com WEST21.com Internet services for the 21st Century http://www.west21.com/ _________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
