texte = I give up! Can only assume that there is a bug in WC4.0.1 on OSX as I could not find a reason why the problem described below was happening. Have moved the site back to WebStar 4.1/WC 4 and it works perfectly!Anyone else having similar trouble or with a stable installation worth mentioning? The Installation: G4/500, Mac OSX 1.2, iTools 5.0.7, WeCatalog 4.0.1The Problem: Startup with no problem, the server runs normally as does WebCatalog. Can connect to both iTools admin and WebCatalog admin via browser on remote computers. The WebCatalog driven sites are all running normally as expected. Then, after varying amounts of time the server starts returning 404 or 000 codes and the WebCatalog process shows CPU usage of around 90%. I stop the webserver (using the Network control panel). Sometimes this quits the WebCatalog process, but usually not, especially if its using lots of CPU! Then I restart the webserver. If the WebCatalog process didn't quit then a second one appears and the webserver continues to serve error codes, other wise it usually starts working normally again. If I get two WebCatalog processes, I have to restart the server to get it going again. And so back to the beginning of the problem again....The Solution: ....this is where I'm hoping you can help or give me some polite suggestions for further troubleshooting...ThanksJeremy(This has also been sent to the iTools list - some of you will probably see this twice!)-- Jeremy Pocock | jeremy.pocock@NetCommerce.co.uk NetCommerce Ltd | http://www.netcommerce.co.uk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tel: +44 (0)23 8020 5973 | Doing Business Together Fax: +44 (0)23 8020 5701 | http://www.B2Shops.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Inspirational, Rewarding Shopping | Buy and Sell with Confidence http://www.ShopsOnTheNet.com | http://www.Trust-on-Line.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
