Lots of people have reported this very same plugin bug to both SMSI and 4D.4D's position is that they *know* there are webcat plugin programming errors, specifically in the code that manages webcat's memory. They *know* that this is what crashes the webcat plugin and webstar on a regular basis, especially when any version of the webcat plugin later than 3.0.7 is used with any version of webstar 4.SMSI's position is that they might get around to looking at it some day -- but don't hold your breath -- they have totally ignored the problem for more than a year since they released webcat 4. Given the fact that the problem was already in existence in the webcat 3.0.8 plugin, that tells you how long they have had to work on it and get it fixed, if they actually cared about doing such a thing.Basically, SMSI's support for their webstar plugin is totally non-existent. Instead of fixing the problem, all they do now is tell you to use the CGI instead. And now that MacOSX is here, I doubt they will ever bother to fix it ... because now they can tell you to just use the MacOSX version if you don't want to use the buggy plugin on previous MacOS versions ...=========================================================== Kenneth Grome & Associates US-International eCommerce Business Development Specialists Office: +6332 262-8164 Mobile: +63919 749-0060 For direct-dialed calls from the USA, please use 011 prefix ===========================================================------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
