texte = Hello WebCat meisters,I am looking for thoughts on the best way to integrate our Core Database and our WebCat db's.let me explain:We use a proprietary system made from Progress. This company makes aWebSpeed (ODBC compatible) module. However it can also produce a comma-deliminatedtext file and, more than likely, a tab-deliminated text file. We will integrate our customer infodatabase as well as updating the inventory (or recording the sale) of our products.I can see two routes available to communicate with our Core Database.1) through a tab-deliminated text file that interacts with a scheduler on both sides (such as triggerson the WebCat side). This system would entail picking up and creating text files in a central area.2) using ODBC (sql) querys and such.I know very little currently of ODBC interaction and have some understanding of how I wouldapproach the tab-deliminated file route. So this is my question...What approach has the most advantages? How would you approach this problem? Thanks much!-- Donovan D. BrookeSystems Administrator/Assc.
