texte = I think this is too much compassion for a violent group of mind washed assassins. The people that are speculated as the cause of this event are not controled/oppressed by Americans, they are controled/oppressed by their own government. However, they are led to believe many in-accurate things by their own governments and insane people with lots of money who also control them. You are condoning this event and it's actions in my eyes. I don't see a choice for new vs. old as you say. No one from America *needlessly* killed people from these groups. (excluding the one person from Suddan which was a horrendous mistake and which I am ashamed about) America as a whole does not say you have to live a certain way. It's been a long while since America has not let a piecefull society just be. This is my goal and it is shared by most Americans. We have ugly things in our past... The driving out of native americans on the arrival of the european/white man, Slavery etc... But all Societies have these ugly things. I am always searching for a why. However, this *event*, and the reasoning involved, are both insane and atrocious. Even though we have a Good-ole-boy President now, that talks with his testostrone and not his mind... Even though Bush speaks of growing our Military etc... this *Event* is unfounded. We in America give no one person ultimate power. We in America work as a whole. If the Taliban, let their people learn about life beyond its borders, If the Saudi's were not oppressed by their government, then they would know who America truly is. (Yes they are oppressed by their goverment. The sanctions were put there for valid reasons.) But they don't. They only know what is fed to them. The answers to this *event* are complex. However, I don't think compassion for those that brought this event to us is one of the answers. And, I don't think we are the only ones that need to wake up.In my opinion, Education to these people's is among the top of priorities. If this involves the up rooting of autocratic governments, then so be it. However, I sure don't know all the *who's* of this *event*. Time will tell this. And yes, there is a time when we should stop asking What did we do to deserve this?Jim Valamier wrote:> [snip]-- Donovan D. Brooke Systems Administrator/ Assc.
