If you are not, then by all means split it into its own database (and display it using a [lookup] on the SKU). However, with such small databases, there is no real need to split it up; WebCat is very fast and efficient. My primary database files are (in bytes) 556,633 AU.db 630,386 AVAIL.db 14,756,457 CATALOG.db 2,222,626 IMPRINT.db 4,529,479 QUOTES.db 2,736,321 TOC.dbwhich corresponds to the table structure on the backend. CATALOG.db is the one that is primarily searched, but I also do author searched (AU.db). I could easily put the Table of Contents (TOC.db) records into flatfiles, but frankly it is just easier to just use the same structure as the backend system.HTHJohn-- John Peacock Director of Information Research and Technology Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group 4720 Boston Way Lanham, MD 20706 301-459-3366 x.5010 fax 301-429-5747------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
