texte = Hello,When my new servers get here I will be moving from Mac OS to Linux. I knowon Mac OS it is not a smart idea to put thousands and thousands of files inthe same directory.I have an idea to convert a large number of searches on my existing site tostatic html pages that get written whenever hat specific data has changed. This would require creating initially about 10,000 directories all in thesame folder (and hopefully 10's of thousands more soon).Does anyone know if having say 50,000 directories within a single directoryis a problem for Linux?E.g. /users/username1//users/username2//users/username3//users/username4//users/username5//users/username6/And most importantly, would WC 4.x have a problem manipulating them? WCwould be responsible for creating/deleting folders and the content withineach folder. The user folders would have normal amounts of files, saybetween 3-30.ThanksDale-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
