Only when I know for an absolute fact that the value could never contain an ampersand do I leave out the url context.- brian****************************************************************************** From: Alisha Outridge Date: Thu Jun 20, 2002 12:26:53 PM US/EasternTo: (WebCatalog Talk)Subject: Sending & and other chars thru an append contextI need to append a value such as Koch & Lowy into a WebCat database. (Koch & Lowy is the potential value of the variable: [Manufacturer])Problem is, it is not putting it in since the char & is used for another purpose in WebCat. This would be easy to solve if it weren't for the fact that after this I have a Filemaker DB looking to this WebCat DB for information. I need the Filemaker DB searching the webcat DB to see the value Koch & Lowy not Koch and Lowy or Koch %xxx Lowy so this append must let the value Koch & Lowy send to thru the Append rather than just Koch.Does anyone know a way to tell webcat to leave the code as it is after the variable [Manufacturer] is interpreted? (the [raw] tag does not help because it does not allow me to receive the value of the variable.)Alisha OutridgeSpec Simple, Inc.Where the World of Design Connects...-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/
