texte = Reading through kenneth gromes post in the wish list thread saying use cartfor database ID's to garauntee a unique value.I have had trouble with this.I have written mass importing rountines where I append to a databasethousands of times a second and the cart is not unique on each append.Has anyone else experienced this?I would suppose it depends on how fast your webserver is but in myparticular example, the webserver was able to do between 14 and 16 databaseappends per cart value.I read somewhere else however that the cart was based on date and time andan inbuilt incrementing interger. If I can do 14 database appends before the cart ticks over to the nextvalue, is my interger incrementing correctly?-- Andrew SimpsonWeb DevelopmentBlackpepper Interactive LtdPO Box 99805Newmarket4 Clayton StreetNewmarketAucklandPh: +64 9 520-6281Mob: 0272733270Fax: +64 9 524-1849http://www.blackpepper.co.nz-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
