texte = I don't think the disk IO would make any difference to webcat as the db's are RAM based .. Iwould have thought a fast motherboard with DDR ram and fast processor would be the optimalconfig.webcat 'commits' the data to disk in the background so should not make any difference toperformance .. I'm looking forward to trying the same thing on OSX 'Jaguar' .. to see if theimprovement is noticeable.We also tried the same tests with [text] variables and the PC was about 4 times faster the the dual533 .. Searching/sorting a db of 26000 records was also about 4-5 times faster .. I might create a page to tabulate some of these results tomorrow ..
