Although we've had a few raised eyebrows when proposing a WebDNA solution (way back when it was WebCat, even), I don't think I've had a single client decline us based on the platform. Indeed the target market is mid-sized businesses with overworked or non-existent IT departments. To them, the important thing is that you have some examples of what this program does. Usually a few search speed comparisons close down any further discussion. This group (all 50 of us, is it?) should be proud that we had the open-minded intelligence to recognize the power of a non-major player in the internet database market. Whether your decision was originally made for fiscal reasons, portability reasons, or ease-of-use, it doesn't detract from the very simple fact that this is a powerful program with few limitations. If you stand confidently behind your product choice instead of sheepishly presenting it as some kind of alternative to the greatly overpriced mainstream software, I think you'll find that this quickly becomes a non-issue in your proposals. It truly has in ours. There's my 2 pennies.Oh, and for Kimberly's poll, you can put me under Owners of Development Business (more than 1 employee), though I do the lion's share of the WebDNA programming.-- Patrick Junkroski President/CEO http://www.vsm.net (239) 642.0304 ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
