Although we've had a few raised eyebrowswhen proposing a WebDNA solution (way back when it was WebCat, even), Idon't think I've had a single client decline us based on the platform.Indeed the target market is mid-sized businesses with overworked ornon-existent IT departments. To them, the important thing is that you havesome examples of what this program does. Usually a few search speedcomparisons close down any further discussion. This group (all 50 of us, is it?) should be proud that we had theopen-minded intelligence to recognize the power of a non-major player in theinternet database market. Whether your decision was originally made forfiscal reasons, portability reasons, or ease-of-use, it doesn't detract fromthe very simple fact that this is a powerful program with few limitations. If you stand confidently behind your product choice instead of sheepishlypresenting it as some kind of alternative to the greatly overpricedmainstream software, I think you'll find that this quickly becomes anon-issue in your proposals. It truly has in ours. There's my 2 pennies.Oh, and for Kimberly's poll, you can put me under Owners of DevelopmentBusiness (more than 1 employee), though I do the lion's share of the WebDNAprogramming.-- Patrick Junkroski President/CEOhttp://www.vsm.net(239) 642.0304-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
